Erik ten Hag wants two more strikers to strengthen his team, now Rasmus Hojlund and Harry Kane are among the top targets.

Manchester Untied’s head coach, Erik ten Hag is seeking to strengthen his attacking force as he targets two strikers which Rasmus Hojlund is a candidate alongside the English superstar, Harry Kane.

Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta is reportedly a target for Manchester United this summer, along with Harry Kane.

The Tottenham striker is thought to be the club’s main target. Erik ten Hag has made it clear that United will be searching for a new striker in the forthcoming transfer window.

To improve his offensive options, The Times reports that Ten Hag is also eager to recruit “an up-and-coming forward.”

According to the source, Hojlund is on United’s short list and might be bought this summer for about £40 million.

Hojlund, 20, moved to Atalanta from Strum Graz last August in a deal worth €17 million (£15 million). He has eight goals in his debut campaign in Italy.

The 6 foot 3 inch forward has excelled at the international level as well, scoring five goals in his first four games for Denmark.

Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of Atalanta, acknowledged in a statement made last month that the Serie A team might find it difficult to retain Hojlund for another year.

Gasperini remarked, “I have seen very few strikers who are as strong as he is at 20 years old, both technically and in other areas.”

He still has a lot to work on, whether it’s in the air, within the box, or with the last pass.

Hojlund joined Atalanta in a €17 million (£15 million) transfer from Strum Graz last August, and the 20-year-old has eight goals in his first season in Italy.

Having scored five goals in his first four international games for Denmark, the 6 foot 3 inch forward has also made an impression.

Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini admitted last month that the Serie A club may struggle to maintain Hojlund for another season.

‘From a technical aspect and in other areas, I have seen very few strikers as strong as him at 20 years old,’ Gasperini added. ‘He has a lot of space for growth, particularly in the air, inside the box, and with the last pass.

Ten Hag asserts that United are ‘working hard in the background’ in preparation for the summer transfer window.

Naturally, we carry out our duties in the background, Ten Hag replied.

But if we could discuss it or, better yet, if we could be specific and offer something, we would do so right away. But we are actively working in the background.

But for now, it’s all about the games, qualifying for the Champions League, and the FA Cup [final].

“Finance, yeah, that’s what it is for me.” that the resources are there to take the appropriate action.

But first, we need to qualify for the Champions League and finish among the top four. Our attention is on that.
