Medeama is ready for Kotoko - Mantey claims

Emmanuel Mantey of Medeama SC declares his side’s readiness to take on Kotoko

Medeama SC midfielder Emmanuel Mantey says the Yellow and Mauve are hyped and ready for their make or break encounter with Asante Kotoko at the TnA stadium in Tarkwa.

Medeama who at a point took a 8 points lead on top of the league after series of winless run has been overtaken by regional rivals Bibiani Goldstars and sees their game week 29 fixture against the Porcupine Warriors as a chance to reclaim their position on top of the league table.

Speaking ahead of the game, the midfielder described the encounter as crucial in their pursuit for the Ghana Premier League title, emphasizing that the former league champions are determined to secure all three points.

“This game is very crucial for us because, as far as the title race is concerned, we need a win to go to the top of the table. Kotoko will come in strongly, so we must also be ready. Everyone knows what is at stake, and we will do everything possible to get the result,” he told Medi TV.

A victory for the Tarkwa based club could see them climb to the top of the league standings, depending on results elsewhere, as the race for the title grows more fierce.
