FC Barcelona started their preseason tour on 27th July 2025, facing Vissel Kobe at the Noevir Stadium in Japan. Vissel once had former Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta as part of their team.
The match started with high expectations from the 18-year-old Lamine Yamal, who recently got the iconic Lionel Messi’s NO. 10 jersey. The Japanese side kicked off the game from right to left, while FC Barcelona started from the other side.
In the 3rd minute of the game, Yamal gets the ball along the right, and then he tries to set up Ferran Torres in front of the box. However, Torres is surrounded as Kobe puts the ball out.
Yamakawa conceded a corner kick, and Barcelona sent the ball to Eric Garcia, who won the ball in the penalty box melee and found the net to break the deadlock.
Vissel equalized in the 43rd minute after Cubarsi lost the ball in the midfield and Kobe went for an attack against the run of play. Sasaki tried a shot, which was saved by Garcia, and then Miyashiro found the net to make it all square.
A 77th-minute goal gave Barca the lead again; Roony Bardghji scored after Lewandowski found Roony entering at the other side—just a nice pass from Lewandowski and Roony smashed it in.
Pedro Sarmiento with a stunner! A long ball is floated in by Kounde, which finds Olmo. He tries to bring it down, but a bad touch takes the ball away. However, Pedro is right there at the edge of the box and hits it the first time to send the ball fizzing into the back of the net!
