Raúl Asencio Reaches Confidential Agreement in Viral Sex Video Case

Raúl Asencio has finally reached a deal with the victim involved in his viral sex video case; the Real Madrid defender has faced so much criticism over the case.

The 2025 Club World Cup was a disaster for Raúl Asencio. Poor results and relentless media attention made the young Real Madrid player a target for fans demanding his sale. But just when all seemed lost, the off-field news gave him a breather.

Raúl Asencio Reaches Confidential Agreement in Viral Sex Video Case

According to Atlántico Hoy, Asensio’s lawyer, Alfonso Morales Campurvi, reached an agreement with the victims of a sex video in the south of Gran Canaria in which players from Madrid youth teams were filmed performing sexual acts. The aim of the agreement is clear: to reduce Ascencio’s criminal liability.

The aim of this legal strategy is to classify Raúl Asencio‘s involvement as a minor offence and differentiate him from the other three players in the case. Under Article 197 of the Spanish Penal Code, which protects privacy and punishes unauthorized disclosure of personal information, the charge is a fine, not imprisonment.

Despite the agreement with the victims, the Public Prosecutor’s Office is not planning to remove Asencio from the legal process. According to Canarias7, prosecutors are still evaluating the final legal classification, but they have already made it clear: the player will stand trial alongside the other suspects. There’s no easy way out.

The case remains serious. Prosecutors are seeking four years in prison for Raúl Asencio, on charges of breach of privacy and child pornography, since one of the videos involved a minor. For the other accused players—Juan RodríguezFerrán Ruiz, and Andrés García—prosecutors are requesting an additional ten months in prison. This scandal is far from over.
