Carlo Ancelotti speaks on the return of key players as he speaks on Valverde’s injury
Carlo Ancelotti expresses his delight with the return of some key players back into his Real Madrid squad.
Real Madrid played their Copa del Ray semi final encounter against Real Sociedad without their star man Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe who had to sit out of the team because of an injury setback was replaced by young Brazilian prodigy, Endrick who eventually got them the only goal in the match.
With the LaLiga and UCL fixtures coming so fast, Ancelotti was hoping the Madrid injury list becomes smaller. The return of Kylian Mbappe and Raul Asencio saw Dani Ceballos and Fede Valverde head towards the opposite direction.
“Kylian Mbappé is back. He’s available to play and excited to help as always”. Ancelotti told the press.
Madrid gaffer expressed his disappointment of not having Valverde back anytime soon as he expects the Uruguayan to be available against city rivals Atletico Madrid
“Fede Valverde will NOT play tomorrow, he’s had a small problem and so he won’t be available”. “Fede will return vs Atlético Madrid”.
He also spoke on the return of Raul Asencio back into the team as he believes the young Spanish international is back and ready to play for the Los Blancos
“Raúl Asencio is fine. He was affected by what happened but now he’s ok and ready to play”.
Ancelotti also went on to debunk stories that Captain Luka Modric can’t play two games in a row as he expresses his faith in his captain and also backing his claims with data.
It’s NOT true that Luka Modrić can’t play 2 games in a row as he’s 39”.
“Luka can play 2 games in a row without any problem. He’s fine, well trained, very good physically. The data we have show he is very well prepared to play”.
