The Democracy Cup is annually organized by the Parliament of Ghana to celebrate the nation’s democratic journey through football. On Friday, September 5, Dade Boys will face the Phobians at the University of Ghana stadium.

Larry Sumaila, who expressed great belief in Great Olympics beating Heart of Oak, was once a player from the club; to him, this encounter carries a lot of weight. Sumaila sees this match as a battle of pride, which is linked with history in Ghanaian football.
“We all know when it comes to Hearts of Oak and Olympics, the rivalry between the two teams is very great and intense. We call on everyone to come to the stadium to witness a very good football game,” he said

The defender also called on Great Olympics supporters across the nation to come and see them lift the 2025 Democracy Cup.
“We want to invite all our supporters to rally behind us on the 5th of September at the Legon Sports Stadium to cheer us on so that we can bring back the glory to Great Olympics. We won’t disappoint.”
