Jurgen Klopp admits Liverpool need to do more
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool opened their 2022/2023 UCL campaign with a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Napoli in Naples.
Klopp started the game with Allison, Trent, Robertson, Van Dijk, Gomez, Fabinho, Milner, Elliot, Salah, Diaz and Firmino.
Napoli took the lead from the penalty spot through Piotr Zielinski.
Anguissa and Simeone also had their names on the scoresheet as Liverpool was beaten by 4 goals to 1.
Speaking to the media after the game, Jurgen Klopp had this to say:
“Tonight is tough to take – it is not difficult to explain.”
Klopp when asked if he’s worried about getting the sack like Tuchel at Chelsea: “Not really, this is not the case”.
“Our owners are rather calm and expect me to sort the situation and not think someone else will”, Klopp says via James Pearce
