Manchester United Players

If you are wondering, How Much do Manchester United players earn?, you’re not alone. There are other high-profile players in the Premier League who earn huge sums of money, too. Read on to discover how much Cristiano Ronaldo, Raheem Sterling, Frenkie de Jong, and Harry Maguire are earning.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Manchester United. He also captains the Portugal national team. He is currently earning more than £30 million a season, which has made him the highest paid player in English football.

Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling is a Manchester United football player who is paid millions of pounds per year. He is known for his social media following and has millions of followers on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Although most of his posts are related to match action, he also shares updates on his activism and commercial work.

Frenkie de Jong

Frenkie de Jong is a Dutch international who has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer. The club is willing to make a financial gesture to lure the midfielder to Old Trafford. However, De Jong’s family is reluctant to move to England. It is unclear if the club will offer De Jong a higher wage than he is currently earning in Spain.

Harry Maguire

Currently, Harry Maguire earns PS190,000 per week, making him one of the highest paid players at Manchester United. His salary is more than double the salary of Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea, who each earns PS375,000 per week.

Maguire is a captain of the club and is expected to sign a new deal with the club. According to Wikiplayers, he is set to earn more than PS70 million a year.

Raphael Varane

The French professional footballer Raphael Xavier Varane is one of the best centre-backs of his generation. The 25-year-old is known for his speed and defensive prowess. His net worth has been estimated at $5 million.

Harry Maguire’s salary

The defender, born in Sheffield, England, signed for Manchester United in 2019. He was previously with Hull City and Leicester City before making his move to Manchester. His contract at the Red Devils ran from 2019 to 2021. In that time, he played 72 Premier League matches and registered 26 clean sheets.

Maguire is currently out of action with a calf injury, but will be hopeful to return soon. If he does return, he will be keen to form a successful partnership with Raphael Varane. United currently sit fourth in the Premier League, with a game against Leicester City next week.

Salaries of other Manchester United players

Cristiano Ronaldo earns around PS480,000 a week at Manchester United. The former Real Madrid ace is the highest paid player at the club, while Casemiro is paid PS350,000 a week.

Casemiro’s contract runs until June 2026, which makes him the third highest paid player at Manchester United. With the profits generated by Manchester United in recent seasons, the club can afford to pay top dollar for players.

Salary reduction clauses

Manchester United players have the option of negotiating salary reduction clauses in their contracts. In most cases, these clauses will reduce the amount players are paid by at least 25%. This means that players such as Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba will have to accept less money each week.

For example, Sanchez will lose PS125,000 a week while Pogba will lose PS300,000. David de Gea’s salary will fall by PS200,000 a week.
