According to wikipidia, Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe FIChemE is an English billionaire chemical engineer and businessman. Ratcliffe is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Ineos chemicals group, which he founded in 1998 and of which he still owns two-thirds, and which has been estimated to have a turnover of $15 billion in 2019.
Ratcliffe, who is said to be worth £9.8 billion, recently stated that he wants to take the club away from the Glazers as fan pressure mounts against the American owners.

According to ESPN, the British billionaire has not heard from the Glazer family since announcing his intention earlier this month.
During Manchester United’s 2-1 Premier League victory over Liverpool on Monday evening, we saw so many anti-Glazer chants from the Old Trafford crowd and a protest outside prior to the kick-off.
Meanwhile, their match against the same opponents at the end of the 2020/21 season was postponed after fans stormed the pitch at Old Trafford before kickoff to protest the Glazer family.
According to the report, the Glazer family is looking for investment to help fund the redevelopment of Old Trafford, but there has been no indication that they are willing to relinquish complete control of the club.
Ratcliffe’s bid to buy Chelsea fell through earlier this year, but a spokeswoman for the British businessman recently told The Times: “If the club is for sale, Jim is definitely a potential buyer.”
“If something like this was possible, we would be interested in talking with a view to long-term ownership.
“This is not about the money that has been spent or not spent. Jim is looking at what can be done now and, knowing how important the club is to the city, it feels like the time is right for a reset.”
