Gilbert Arenas Children: How Many Children Does Gilbert Arenas Have: On January 6, 1982, Gilbert Arenas Jr. was born in Tampa, Florida.

He eventually relocated to Los Angeles with his family, where he finished high school and played basketball for the team. After graduating, Arenas continued to play for the University of Arizona for two years before announcing his availability for the NBA Draft.

The Golden State Warriors selected Gilbert 31st overall in the 2001 NBA Draught. He made an immediate impression, winning the NBA Most Improved Player Award during the 2002-2003 season. Arenas became a free agent after this season and was signed by the Washington Wizards, who offered him a six-year, $60-million contract. Gilbert was recognized for his steals and outstanding technical talents during his tenure with the Wizards. His late-game “buzzer-beater” shots were also well-known. By this stage, he was getting nominated for All-Star games regularly.

Arenas signed a new six-year, $111 million contract with the Wizards in 2008. However, his time with the Wizards would be cut short by the guns incident. His career was hampered by the subsequent season-long suspension, and he spent the past several years with the Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies, and Shanghai Sharks.
