Man Utd lost 4-3 FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday and here’s what happened in the game.
Manchester United’s chances of making it out of their Champions League group were severely damaged with their loss to FC Copenhagen.
Even though Copenhagen came into Wednesday night’s match with just one point in their Champions League group, their team was full of optimism.
However, they were behind early on due to a masterful goal by United. After making a fantastic move, Rasmus Hojlund opened the score. He added another goal in the 26th minute to increase the lead.
Even though United was playing well and appeared to be winning, Marcus Rashford was sent off just before halftime, allowing Copenhagen to tie the score with two goals.
Despite having an additional man for the second half, United was in control and their lead was renewed just after the hour mark when Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty.
United were certain to win handily on the road, but in the last ten minutes of play, Copenhagen scored twice in a row, dropping Ten Hag’s team to the bottom of the Champions League group.
