Champions League top goal scorers
Champions League top goal scorers chart has been interesting this season. Erling Haaland is the only player with 11 goals in the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League after scoring once again in the first leg of a quarterfinal match against Bayern Munich. Following a record-tying five goals in a 7-0 Round of 16 second leg triumph over RB Leipzig, he scored that goal.
Having finished first in the standings with 10 goals in 2020–21, Haaland previously won the Champions League Golden Boot. This season, he has already surpassed that sum.
Mohamed Salah of Liverpool comes in second with eight goals, but the Egyptian international is eliminated from the tournament after losing to Real Madrid in the Round of 16.
With Kylian Mbappe and PSG also eliminated from the competition, the other big threat to Haaland is Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr., who will look to do his damage against Chelsea in their quarterfinal battle.
There’s a pack of 12 players on four goals, including four Napoli players, and Bayern’s Leroy Sane, all of whom are still involved in the knockouts.
