Highlights of Real Madrid vs. Arsenal: Saka and Martinelli goals seal a historic victory at the Bernabeu

In their Champions League quarterfinal, Arsenal easily defeated Real Madrid 2-1, securing a 5-1 triumph overall over two legs.

Given their previous history of overcoming losing circumstances to advance in the Champions League, Mikel Arteta’s team astonished Madrid today when Carlo Ancelotti‘s team was unable to overcome a 3-0 deficit in front of their home crowd.

The Gunners went one step further and defeated the Spanish powerhouses in their own stadium, knowing that anything short of a major loss would guarantee them a spot in the competition’s last four stages.

They now face PSG in the semi-finals, after the French champions defeated Aston Villa yesterday.
