The Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris is a yearly gathering of the world’s greatest soccer players in one place, unlike any other. They met last night to watch Lionel Messi win his ninth Ballon d’Or.
Popular streamer iShowSpeed, known for his passion of Cristiano Ronaldo, was one of the few celebrities to be invited, and he took advantage of the opportunity by shooting photos and movies with personalities like as Erling Haaland, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham while live on stream.
But the night of his dreams turned to public embarrassment when Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, refused to take a picture with him, and wouldn’t even look in his direction.
“She’s ignoring me bro! No way,” he said, smacking his lips and dipping his head in frustration.

Perhaps Speed’s embarrassment came from the fact that Antonela was one of the few people who said no to a photo with him all night. Beyond Haaland, Jude and Vini, he also recorded his interactions with players including: Emiliano Martinez, Julian Alvarez, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, Rodri and more.
Although Speed did not end up getting a photo with Antonela or the man of the hour Messi, he did participate in the moment that the Argentine lifted his record eighth Ballon d’Or by inadvertently starting the standing ovation. He recorded his reaction live in the moment Messi was announced the winner, standing and cheering with support. At first, some members of the crowd looked at him strangely, but eventually they all joined in.
