Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson chased by Al Ettifaq
Saudi Arabian league side Al Ettifaq are pushing to sign Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson. Steven Gerrard who was recently appointed as the head coach of the side wants the Liverpool captain and the contract proposal is said to be huge. The club is still waiting for final communication from the player side.
The deal was described as “in progress” by sources close to the negotiation. The player will speak to Jurgen Klopp today.
Liverpool on the other hand is understood to have asked for £10m for the player but the final decision rest solely on the player.
Liverpool are also actively working to sign a new midfielder. This has always been the plan even before the bid from the Saudi giants for the English international.
Roméo Lavia on the list since two weeks ago but still no official bid. Liverpool are also working on other options.
