Egypt triumphs over South Africa as Mali stops Morocco’s winning streak at the 2025 AFCON
Match Day 2 of the ongoing 2025 AFCON in Morocco began with the Warriors of Zimbabwe on a wild hunt after the Antelopes of Angola.

Khuliso Mudau allowed Egypt to take the lead after a slap to Mo Salah’s face in the penalty box.
As trusted as he is, Mo Salah took up the responsibility and placed the right in the middle, with Ronwan Williams diving to his left.
With some minutes left to end the first half, Al Ahly’s Mohamed Hany took an early shower as he was shown his second yellow card of the game also giving the South Africans some hope going to half time.

Zambia took on Comoros in the third game of the day. With limited attempts at attacks, the game lacked the intensity and suspense that a lot of people hoped to see.
The game ended in a goalless draw which leaves Zambia with 2 points from two games and Comoros also with just a point from two games.
Morocco versus Mali happened to be the last game of the day and it lived up to the hype that surrounded the game.
