Giorgio Chiellini feels Harry Maguire is being treated unfairly
Italian veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini has shown his sympathy toward the current treatment of England defender Harry Maguire at Manchester United.
Maguire who was seen by many as the reason for Man Utd’s poor form has been axed from the first team by new manager Erik ten Hag.
Harry Maguire joined Man Utd from Leicester for a world record transfer fee of £80m making him the world’s most expensive defender.
Chiellini who currently plays in the MLS disclosed that Maguire is a good player but much is expected of him.
“I am sad for [Harry] Maguire’s situation because he is a good player. They require too much of him. Just because they paid £80m for him, he has to be the best in the world every match? It’s not right.”
