Jules Kounde is expected sign with FC Barcelona on Tuesday, and the team is convinced that they can secure the Sevilla player at that time.
Before the weekend, Jules Kounde seemed set for Chelsea until Barca, according to Gerard Romero, made a late offer for him that the Andalusians accepted.
In an effort to refute these claims, MARAR said that Sevillan sources had informed them that Barca had not yet submitted an official application.
However, SPORT announced on Sunday night in Catalonia that Barca had indeed decided to buy the France international from Sevilla.
According to the terms of the agreement, Barca will initially pay €50 million ($51.2 million) for the 23-year-old and an additional €10 million ($10.2 million) in add-ons.
On Monday morning, Mundo Deportivo reported that Kounde planned to sign with his new team on Tuesday.
Back at SPORT, it’s thought that president Joan Laporta and his board anticipate finishing the purchase by that time as well.
